2.1 Madhya Pradesh
Presently, the following 6 QI projects have been completed after the QI workshop and six more have been planned

4. | Rationalizing the use of antibiotics in a Special Neonatal Care Unit: A quality improvement initiative | SNCU, Ujjain |
5. | To decrease the use of antibiotics in babies admitted to Special Newborn Care Unit: A quality improvement initiative | SNCU, Chhindwara |

2.2 Goa
Presently, the following 10 QI projects have been completed/ underway after the QI workshop and more have been planned

6. | Decreasing plagiocephaly in NICU babies by doing proper nesting | Medical College Goa |
7. | Early initiation of breastfeeding in cesarean section babies | Medical College Goa |
8. | Improving donation of breast milk to human milk bank | Medical College Goa |
9. | Decreasing usage of third line antibiotics in NICU | Medical College Goa |
10. | Decreasing episiotomy gapes and infections in vaginal delivery mothers. | Medical College Goa |
2.3 Bangalore
Presently, the following 4 QI projects are in pipeline after the QI workshop and more have been planned
1. | To increase the breast milk output of mothers of VLBW infants | St John’s medical college Bangalore

2.4 Kolkatta
Presently, the following QI projects are completed and two more are in pipeline after the QI workshop

2. | Increase compliance with Clean Delivery techniques in
Labour Room, first three processes – Clean Hands, Clean Perineum and Clean Surface |

4. | To decrease the incidence of hypothermia in infants weighing 1500 g to 1800 g at SNCU admission from 100% to 50% by 6 weeks | |
5. | To initiate emergency management of all sick newborns admitted to SNCU before 30 minutes within 8 weeks from current 20% to 80% | |
6. | To increase the use of antenatal corticosteroids from existing 40% to 80% within six weeks |
